Over the past decade, Green Day has won a ton of awards in many countries. We will try to provide each and every award that they have won on this page, however, sometimes we tend to miss one. Please feel free to e-mail me and let me know what I have missed. We don't post radio awards, unless it's a huge well known radio station.

 January 1996: Green Day were nominated for 3 American Music Awards for Favorite Artist of the Year, Favorite Heavy Metal/Hard Rock Artist, and Favorite Alternative Artist. September 1996: Green Day's video for "Walking Contradiction" was nominated for a MTV Video Music Award for Best Special Effects. January 1997: Green Day were nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Music Video, Short Form ("Walking Contradiction"). |
